Duetto mileage

Alas, spring has come, just in time for the increase in gasoline prices, and
I'm noticing that the Duetto is getting abysmal mileage, averagine about 15
MPG.  (Actually, I think she's always gotten crummy mileage- it's just that
now it's bothering me a little bit more).  Is this normal for a carbureted
Alfa?
