Chroming Plastic

Has anyone had any experience with a company in Florida that advertises
in Hemmings that they can actually triple plate (copper, nickel, chrome)
on old plastic?  Is the work of good quality, does it hold up, and what
is your opinion on the cost vs. quality?  I'm trying to figure out what
to do with the taillights on my '71 GTV.
