164 starter problem

Mark emailed and suggested charging the battery before doing anything else
even though all electrical functions in the car seemed normal except for
the non-crank problem. Put a 6 hour charge on the newish Interstate 950 CCA
battery and that mutha' fired right up. Probably a good idea to charge the
battery first no matter what the problem---no telling what may be affected
by a weak voltage.
