'85 Spider: difficult cold starts on hot days

Cold starts, on hot days after my '85 Bosch FI Spider has been
sitting in the sun, are difficult. It seems like there must be either a
vapor-lock problem, or that the gizmo (a thermo-vaccuum switch?) that
controls the cold-start injector gets fooled by the warm temperatures
under the hood. Where, and what, is this gizmo?
Starting when the engine is warmed up is never a problem,
and cold starts in cool or frigid weather are no problem.
Any advice?
