Well, yes - as the Capitol Steps might say, GM are a "lunch of
boozers". Still, this list has not been especially kind to FIAT
management either - comments like "a couple sandwiches
short of a picnic" come to mind. So, maybe the two deserve
each other.
I guess we need to decide whether we would like to see Alfa
fade into oblivion as a go-it-alone FIAT gets further mired in
debt, labor problems, and increased competition. Or, whether
we would rather see some life breathed into it, ala Volvo,
Saab, Jaguar. Personally, I would prefer the latter - unless
the 2001 Alfa Romeo comes out looking like Keiko the killer
whale!
Jay Mackro - who never bought a new Alfa, but used to
spend a bundle on parts at their dealerships.
