No, I don't own an Audi TT nor do I own a Alfa GTV.  I've driven both 
extensively all over Europe, particularly the GTV (and Spider) during 
1998/99 and the Audi TT during the past few months.

Does it make me an expert? No.

Is there some reason why you feel perfectly entitled to commenting on the 
styling and engineering of the TT vs. the GTV (as a Bathtub, I recall), but 
a response to the contrary from me is not allowed?

As you said (which contradicted the beginning of your message), to each his 
own.
