Audi TT versus new GTV V6

Interesting to read the recent bits on the digest about the Audi TT (or
"Titty" as it's lovingly known here in the UK). It appears that a number of
Americans find this machine an attractive proposition? I don't know if it's
made the press in the US, but it has been confirmed here in the UK that Audi
is to retro-fit Electronic Stability Control to ALL 56,000 Titty coupes sold
so far, at a cost of @ 300 Million US dollars. The recall has come about
after several fatal accidents in Europe involving Titties which have crashed
at high speed due to fundamental poor design (the thing behaves like a wing
at speed).
Originally an after-market suspension and tail spoiler kit was offered to
concerned owners (which, incidentally, ruins the "pure" upside-down bath tub
lines which some find appealing), but an investigation by German authorities
into the accidents has prompted Audi to recall all of the Titties shipped
for the fitment of the kit and ESC set up. Apparently a courtesy Audi will
be loaned for the duration of the fitment to be carried out at the
Ingolstadt factory, which could be for up to a month!! Happily, that is
ample time for them to go and drive a genuinely beautiful car, with more
power from non-forced induction, i.e. the GTV 3.0 24V V6 (glorious
front-wheel drive and all!!!). A stunning machine which does *not* look like
an upside down bath-tub!
