Sales Figures and Suds

Two things, I was out of N. America when Alfa pulled out and I had no idea
that the sales figures had dropped off so dramatically.  I stand corrected.
;-)

Second, there is 82 AlfaSud in Ottawa.  It was imported by a person working
overseas.  The Canadian rule is that from non-NAFTA countries only currently
model-year vehicles and vehiles over 15 model-years old can be imported into
Canada.  Vehicles over 15 model-years old do not have to pass federal
safety/emission tests for importation but current-year vehicles must pass
all safety and emission tests, certified by the manufacturer, i.e. no
upgrades done by the importer.
