Alfa in the US, many factors that lead to a succesful distribution in the US

It would be interesting to hear a dealers perspective on Alfa in the
early/mid-90's. Who was really buying the 164's?

It takes more than a good product to stay established in the US market.
Towards the end they were down to only the 164 as their only model and
distribution and service had already been compromised with the Chrysler deal
falling apart. I won't even bring up the JD Power's report, except for the
fact that it was a sad day for Jaguar when Alfa announced it's exit.

Does anybody know how many (truly) active dealers there were after the
Alfa/Chysler split?

Hopefully the new Maserati will sell. In a soft market for coupes, it may
have a hard time. Not to mention somewhat of a small/weak dealer network.
