spider wanted, Patent Attorney?

I have three questions for the list.

1. I have convinced my friend's wife to purchase a spider as her next
car.  I am looking for a 1982 or newer spider.  Preferably one that has
records or was maintained by a list member.  Also, she prefers working
AC so that would be a bonus.  Any color is ok, she would like power
windows, etc...

I am located in Sacramento, CA - so any cars located within the greater
Bay Area would be ideal.

2. I changed the plugs in my 88 spider this weekend and I noticed that
the #2 plug was black and full of carbon.  I have been having a rough
idle and the power seems to be down.  Is this an indication of a failed
ring or valve seals?
