Alarm solution

I have been told by a local Alfa Service center that you can change the
battery without the trunk key, however, it will set off the alarm.

You can then use your alarm key fob to turn your alarm off.

I have not tried this personally but I see no reason why this wouldn't work.
Wait a day or two to see if somebody contradicts this method then try it.
