I thought this may be interesting:
BMW never made the 850 in a convertible.A small tuner in Germany decided to try this.The result was so beautifull that one wondered why build anything else BUT a convertible.BMW took action and got the badge removed from the cars that were modified.The car was so popular though, that toy-models were made.BMW got the badge removed from the toy as well.I think they got many letters from fans asking they build the car but nothing happened.
