Cuban auto repair

There was an article in the 2/21/00 San Francisco Chronicle about the 
inventiveness of Cuban mechanics. Due to parts shortages and the 
repressed economy people go to surprising lengths to keep their motor 
vehicles running including scavenging and machining replacement parts.
 The article mentioned Alfa Romeo pistons being incorporated into a 
Harley Davidson engine!
