91 Spide Idle Surge

The Motronic Spiders have an idle speed control motor that is in the intake
plenum that controls the amount of air around the throttle plate. It is seal
with a rubber grommet that gets hard and allows air to leak in thereby confusing
the computer and it hunts for the right setting. Change this grommet or use a
sealer like I did and cure the problem.

If this doesn't do it the idle speed control motr may be dirty. Remove it and
clean it with choke cleaner, blow it out real good before replacing it. You can
test the motor by momentarly connecting 12 volts to it to see if it opens and
closes. If not replace it.
