The subject of door switches

It should not be a complicated subject, in fact. those circuits are very
simple. Current from the battery, via the fuses, go directly to the bulbs
which are turned on by grounding the other side of the bulb. I have found
most problems are due to the door switch itself being above ground, rusted
or loosely tied to the rusted or painted metal surface. If the slider is
rusted, replace the switch and bathe it with WD40 or an anti oxidant. To
test for current at the light, simply ground the wire to the switch. I
think most interior lights are not under control of the ignition switch so
current is direct from the fuse box. Don't fret about those interior
lights, if you don't want t fix, just replace the switches on good clean
metal. Fred Di Matteo AROC Technical Advisor in SUNNY AND WARM Fort Myers,
