164 reliability

hi all,

i bought my '92 164L about 2.5 years ago, had 117k miles on it. had full service
records that indicated nothing unusual. now has 155k miles.  steppers went at
~125k.  clutch went at ~145k.  heater core yust recently went away.  front
passenger window yust recently stopped working.  i understand '91's had suspect
steering racks, mine lost a hose ~5k miles ago.  i'd bet any engine o'hauls have
been due to broken timing belts.  the cars are pretty tank-like, imho...
