Boring US roads

There are tens of thousands of miles of boring, straight US roads.  They are
also the most efficient and quickest way to cross the relatively (to Europe)
vast distances in this country.
But for anyone who believes ALL roads in the USA are unimile, sanitized
conduits, I invite you to visit any of the highways others have mentioned,
or come on any Alfa Owners of Oregon tour; even the one this Sunday to
simple Salem, Oregon.  There is no time for cell phones or cupholders, my
friends.
