Re: higher voltage regulator

<< I read somewhere that it is possible to purchase higher voltage - voltage
regulators. Does anyone know where? >>

I have just sent in a check to one of my fellow Audi Quattro list members for
an improved alternator for my 87 Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro (5ktq). With all the
power options this car has my battery runs down in the winter, the lister Avi
Meron, takes the 90A rebuilds them to 130A and jacks the voltage to a little
above 14V all the time. The other listers who have purchased his units are
very/extremely happy with his modifications. Once a get the Audi unit
installed I will write a full report. I asked if he could do the
modifications to the Alfa alternator and his only question is how many amps
he can get it to put out. I am going to send him a couple of 65A Milano cores
this weekend or early next week since he is interested in offering them to
the Alfa digesters. By the way his price for the 90A to 130A modification
with a one year warranty is $195 plus $15 shipping in the U.S. with a $20
core. I imagine the price would be about the same but I guess the core charge
would be higher at the outset.
I have no financial interest, etc.
