S engine with L-Jet

Ok,
So If I decide to keep the Verde and just upgrade the engine to 164  specs, I
have been told that the 10:1 CR S pistons don't work well with the L-Jet, is
this true? do I need to go Motronic.

My plan would be very basic actually, S=Cams/pistons, Sperry Stage 1 or 2 head
and likely a reworked ECU (Dimatteo or Zat(gasp!). Oh and fix that damn tach
once I lose my rev-limiter..
