Newbie Alfa 156 driver

I am new to Alfa and just took delivery of the 156 Selespeed a few weeks ago.

What a fantastic car! I have been driving a typical Japanese car before this.
I love the difference in looks and performance. Every day that I drive it, I
wear a smile on my face. The third gear is just fantastic. Of course the
F1 style of gearchange is something new and I am still getting used to it.
Most of the time I am using the CITY mode and when the need and mood strikes,
just hit the buttons to downshift and accelerate. Wow, what a rush.

Just the other day, another 156 driver pulled up alongside at the traffic
lights,
give a short horn and when I turn to look, he gave this big grin and thumbs
up.
I guess there is this camaraderie amongst Alfa owners, since there are so
few of
us on the road. Even BMW drivers (a lot of them around where I am) give
this car 
a double take.

Fuel consumption is not that great though. I am getting about 10 km/l.
Is that normal?

Any 156 owners that can share their experience? Anything to watch out for?

Its a pity that Alfa Romeo is not back in US. Hope that happens soon because
there seems to be so many wishing it to be so. FYI, it is quite easy to get
it in Asia.
