Re: GTA flywheel

No, it doesn't fit. The GTA was basically a hot rod 1600. The 2000 motor
has a different flywheel bolt pattern from the 1300/1600/1750, which are
all the same. The flywheels came in different weights over the years. My
advice is to have your 2000 flywheel turned down by a machinist who has
done this to other Alfa flywheels. You can take quite a bit of weight off
of it and still have a car you can drive on the street. A superlight or
Aluminum flywheel makes it a bear to get a car moving at stop lights.
There's no point trying to adapt a GTA flywheel to a 2000 motor, IMO.

The real tricky operations are when you go to put a 2000 motor into a car
with the mechanical clutch linkage. Then you can think about redrilling
flywheels.
