Shipping a door

Can anyone recommend a way to ship an Alfa door from California to B.C. Canada?  I checked with the post office and UPS and it would require a box which only would leave 1/2 inch for padding before reaching the max allowable size.  I've seen many people discussing auto shippers, are there also auto-parts shippers?  Any help appreciated, Thanks.  G.
