75/Milano rear door wont open

Anybody had any luck with freeing up a stuck rear door?
My RHS door (if it makes a difference) is stuck shut. The outer handle
just pushes in with no resistance as they do when the car is locked.
The ro from the internal handle connects, or at least used to, to a
lever on the lock mechanism. This little lever does not want to move so
I need another way of opening the door.
