Brake MC and Heater on 87 Spider

Well, my brake MC has just given up and is starting to leak.  I will
replace it this weekend and was hoping to get some input on bleeding.

Can someone recommend a good brand of fluid?  Secondly, which wheel should
I start bleeding at and are the vacuum pumps (speed bleeders) worth the
investment?  

Secondly, my heater only blows heat at highway speeds.  Around town, the
fan works but the air is not heated.  SOmeone suggested the heater valve.
I do not understand why their would be any heat if the valve were plugged,
regardless of speed.  THe heat is not very hot even at highway speeds.
