Track time/ autocrossing/ shows...

With all the notes flying around about track time, etc, its a good time to
promote AROC Detroit's '99 Events:

Autocrosses: So far we have 1 school and 4 events scheduled. Only the
school has a confirmed lot, but we've got 5 months to find something
(anything... if you are aware of something in the metro Detroit area- please
contact me...). AROC is part of a local sports car group, which does hold a
championship. While not on the scale of SCCA, we do get 100 or so drivers,
and about 8 of them are Alfa drivers.

Track days: Italian Happening- Sept 2, Waterford Hills Raceway. Open to
all cars, but Italian cars get the nod. 308's, 328's, 512's, Testarosas,
Biturbo's, Gibli's, Panteras, GTV6's, Spiders, GTV's, GTA's, X1/9, Spiders,
and sometimes a very unusual vintage car. We fill the field with people who
want to join us. Cars are classed by the owners ability to go around the
track. I, in my stock GTV, had a great time catching up to a 328... And
John Hoard runs in the fastest class no matter what he drives.

Fall Track day- Should be Oct 7, Gingerman Raceway. Same as above, but not
limited to anyone- give me cash, and I'll let you in.

Shows- Italian Happening- Italian vehicle only show on the Edsel and Eleanor
Ford Estate grounds. Usually get about 100 cars, from Fiat Jolly's to
Ferrari 360's and ALL in-between.

I welcome ALL who would be interested in attending- ask Diane Flynn how much
fun they can be!
