Thank you Mr. Favre,
What many have perceived as being rude, is the result of many years of
people like Mr. Sedon complaining about not being able to get track time. But
when it is offered there is no commitment on their part. They want us to
continue to devote resources and pray they show up?
After reading some of the post coming from other "Lowly" Alfa owners as they
like to call themselves. I have realized what the problem is, since 90% of
the "Lowly" Alfas that attend our event are brought by Ferrari owners, it is
obvious that they do not look down upon Alfas or their owners. The problem
seems to be an inferiority complex on the part of people like Mr. Sedon & Mr.
Akins. The event itself is private and only open to Italian car/motorcycle
owners & club members. For the most part everyone is gracious and friendly
towards one another. Many people that do not track their cars show up with
helmet & driving suit, spending the day hopping from Testarossa to Diablo to
F40 getting rides simply by being nice and asking.
What is worse, the snob that looks down upon others without knowing them? Or
the person that perceives someone to be a snob simply because they may be
better off financially without knowing them?
The fact of the matter is with a booming economy and sub $20,000 Ferraris,
Maseratis & Lamborghinis readily available that person you perceive as a rich
snob could very well have just sold his Spider, Milano & GTV to get that
Ferrari.
