Ian,
Recently checked costs for east coast to west coast. They vary widely but the 
best I could find was 795.00 for open transporter and 1400.00 for enclosed by 
dedicated transporter specialising in collector cars. About 100.00 more if 
not running. Brakes must be operational. If its a valuable car stay away from 
the "run of mill" transporters. A friend transport cars for a living and I 
have been to the depot and witnised how some of these cars are handled. Pay 
the extra and go with the specialty outfits.
