Bruce, I have pulled the engine & gearbox as a unit from my '65 Spider several times just using a come-a-long on a stationary beam. Pushing the car back a bit was not a problem for me and the come-a-long was cheap. FYI Tom Lesko Hingham, MA ------------------------------
