Bill,

You are of course right about the chrunchy 2nd gear, and I know all of =
us 'older Alfa Guys' have had it more or less. When I bought my first =
Alfa in '85 it had the chrunchy gearshift, and the seller assured me =
that that was something all Alfa's had, and not to worry about it. There =
are different degrees of chrunching, but they don't have to chrunch.
