odometer/trip-meter problems

I've had this problem with my '82 2000-GTV since I got it a while ago,
namely: the tachometer and speedometer work just fine, but the
trip-meter and odometer are 100% dead. I've just took the speedometer
apart, but everything seems fine to me (I'm no electrician though).
If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I'd really appreciate it.
