New shocks helping reduce body roll?

I have a '93 Spider that leans a LOT... can anyone give me some firsthand
knowledge on upgrading just the shocks (to competition adjustable shocks,
like Koni Yellows) and not the springs?
I can't change the springs/sway bars because that would boot me out of my
class (C-stock).
How much improvement would new shocks give me in controlling body motions?
Would it be useless, or effective?
I would also like to be able to tune the amount of udnersteer or oversteer,
too... I'm sure the shocks would help here.... right?
Thanks,
- -Glenn
