Octopussy update

Sorry. I plead guilty of brain-fade regarding the GTV-6 in Octopussy.
Thought the car was in another Bond film.

My guess, whoever requested the company to locate an Alfa, assumed
they'd know which one. When the 'vehicle prop' company contacted me,
they assumed I'd know.

I've only had a few replies, but when I was called this a.m. they seemed
happy I'd at least located a '78 Spider. When talking to the owner of
the '78 last night he mentioned it should be a GTV-6 which I passed onto
the 'vehicle prop' company a few minutes ago.

To be honest, I agree with Lawrence Gowin's comments regarding cars used
in movies/TV--they can be rough on them. I only got involved for this
'shoot' because the cars weren't to be driven.

The shooting will take place at either Van Nuys or the Santa Monica
Airport and it is one day only. They carry a million in insurance and
there will be a handler with the car.

I'm not sure if they're simply going to go with the Spider or if they'll
get back to me regarding a GTV-6. In the meantime, does anyone have a
nice, clean one they could 'loan' (for $200 to $250) sometime during the
week of Dec. 15th? Quentin from NZ pointed out it should be charcoal
with a caramel interior. I vaguely thought the GTV-6 was dark green, but
then I couldn't even remember which film it was in.

This is certainly not a big deal, but thought it might be fun for an
owner to see his car on TV (assuming the owner has cable). And, no, I'm
not getting paid.
