I have '91 164L (Auto).  I believe my starter is on the fritz.  I can hea=

just a click that sounds very much like it's coming from the neiborhood o=
f the
starter.  I tried tapping it lightly with a hammer (suggestion of an
ex-mechanic) but it didn't help.
So to those of you with some experience, does the symptom sound familiar.=

Based on what I wrote, does the starter sound like the likely culprit?  A=
nyone
replace his own?  I could see 2 bolts.  Any hidden ones?  Any help would =

appreciated.
