Oil pan guards

Read Franco Forlini's comments on the oil pan guards and it sparked an idea
in my small brain. Instead of reinforcing the guard why not weld a strong
axle rod across the front of the guard that will accomodate, say, twelve
small rubber wheels with roller bearings that would extend, say, .5 inches
below the guard. As one goes over the high spot in the road, the little
rubber wheels contact the high spot first and carry the engine over safely;
but as the engine came down again, the high spot might take out something
else that's not protected by the little rubber wheels like the exhaust or
maybe the whole ass end of the car. Just an advanced thought---maybe, maybe
it's easier to avoid driving on lumpy roads.
