Bosch motronic dis. rotor - trick to remove?

I'm trying to change the distributor rotor on my motronic Spider (1993
Veloce) and I'm having a problem getting the rotor off  -is there a trick to
this?

The new one looks like it just pops on, but the old one won't come off with
some tugging, and I don't want to force it (unless it's the right thing to
do).

How do I get this thing off?
