Spider Hood Latch

The hood release on my '74 Spider isn't working.  Apparently, the cable has
become disconnected at the hood latch end, either because the bolt has
become loose or has stripped.  Any ideas on how I can get the hood opened
would be helpful.  Thanks in advance.
