164S vs. SVT Contour vs. Jetta w/VR6

I've driven all three cars (owned a 164) and the 164 will embarrass the
other cars (especially price wise).  The Contour SVTs power band is all
upper RPMs (and it looks like a Ford on the inside) and the Jetta feels
cheap.  The VR6 is a nice motor but the rest of the car in the stock
setup is below par.
