The best GTV

I don't know about the 2000 but thundering down a near deserted
ring-road last night my 1750 certainly accelerated away from any and all
cars which I met on the way. I love that sensation of the two Webers
opening up, the car setteling on the road and that firm push in the back
as the car picks up speed.

I think my GT 1600 Junior with the 1750 engine is darn near the best car
I have driven - and certainly the most fun.

Returning to the garage however I noticed that the brake pedal continued
to move downward slowly while applying the same firm pressure to the pedal.

This would indicate air in the system - I know that much - but the
reservoirs are full.

There goes the master cylinder I suppose. Are there major problems to
rebuilding the master cylinder? Obviously I will get a repair set from
Alfahurtienne in Germany but the pistons and cylinders only need work if
they are scored or scratched or what? If they are - how do I best go
about honing them?

TIA
