The most common affliction to attack the emergency brake is for coins, or
anything else placed on the console rolls back and jams the handle. This
seems most often characterized by failure of the handle to return to the at
rest position. I have lubricated the cables, lever and pins under the car,
studied the routing of the emergency cable and pushed and pulled and poked
without success. Finally at wits end, I look at the console area and find
parking change jamming the mechanism.
Sometime simple solutions are too obvious.

To all list members,
My emergency brake will not hold on my '85 Spider Veloce. I'm assuming
the teeth are worn. Does anyone know of a fix or have a complete
assembly they will sell me?
