re: Spider heater fan

Jon,

To get the heater fan out, you need to remove the rear and center
console and the dash. The heater fan housing has to be removed from the
car because there are clips on the backside of the plastic fan housing
that hold it together. You need to drain the coolant system. I know
that that Spider manual sez to disconnect the A/C hoses but I just
pushed my A/C unit out of the way. Took me about 4 hours to remove the
fan housing from the car the first time and about 5 hours to put it back
together. The Spider manual is a great help to find out where the
hidden bolts/screws are located.

If you contemplate doing this, let me know and I can give a few tips
that might save you time.

Did the same thing on my GTV - 1 hour to get it out - 30 minutes to put
it back in....my kind of project!
