Steve,

(In my best Quentin Wilson voice...) Avoid this car! My
experience with cars such as this is that the stuff you can see
is usually only a tenth of what is really going on. Just 'cos
HPI says it ain't been written off doesn't mean it hasn't been
in any serious accident. Respray and dash removal could signify
something simple... or maybe not. And the reason head gaskets
cost so much to do is because you've got to remove so much stuff
to get to them. It'll end up being an awful lot of money just to
have A/C (what do you need A/C for in Cumbria anyway??!!, power
seats etc.
