Just got back from a weekend's playing in the California Rift Zone. 580 
miles of AlfaSong ...

My, what a long, winding road can do to uplift your spirits if you have 
an Alfa to play with. One stint was 120 miles, never dropping below 4800 
rpm. Something about having a newly rebuilt transmission with lightened 
gear cluster makes it SUCH a pleasure to slam from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 
2nd and back up again, peaking at 6000 rpm each time, and makes me grin 
ear to ear.
