Re: Ferrari cleared - sort of

According to the FIA, the so called 'out of spec' items were actually
within the limits defined, they were measured wrongly - now infamous, Jo
Bauer ,who made the call. will be suspended. Also the rules were
ambiguous. Surely, Ferrari were doing what ever team tries to do....work
to the absolute limit of the regulations in order to gain the maximum
advantage. Mclaren etc do it and beyond and have been caught.

What is mentioned little by the 'press' is that Mclaren felt that the
Ferrari might be 'out of spec' at the European GP but 'filed' the info for
a more "opportune time" i.e when they were soundly beaten by Ferrari. Then
Ron Dennis informed Bauer (unofficially). Of course Dennis is now crying
foul, when it was his misinformed comments that caused the whole
mess. Personally, I've lost a lot of respect for Mclaren & Dennis and am
tired of his whinging!!

Nuff said..........on to Japan & let the best man/car win!!
