oil vapor separator

first,
thanks to those who replied to my last plea for help with an oil vapor
separator spewing oil (from the vapor exit hose). i cleaned it out well,
blew all remaining liquid our with air, and reinstalled it. so far it
has spit only a few drops of oily water, but not the huge black puddles
it was. it does, however emit some noxious fumes. should i reroute the
gas exit hose into one of the cards?
also, i cleaned out all connecting hoses. the hoses and the separator
itself were partially filled with a whitish, gelatin-like mess. i know
this is indicative of water/oil, so is there any possibility here other
than a blown head gasket?
best,
ascher
