how can i tell if my milano has limited slip tranny

I have a transmission from a 2.5 platinum that i want to put in a 3.0
verde
how can i be certain this is a limited slip diff (id, number, shape,
stamp etc.)
if it is and i install it how much variance will my speedo show
can i do anything to modify the speedo sensor
