Spider Tranny Removal

Now that convertible season is coming to a close on the East Coast (snif!),
and before it becomes too cold to do auto work in an unheated garage, it's
time for me to remove the (leaking) transmission in my '88 Spider Graduate
for a long-needed overhaul. Can anyone out there walk me through the
procedure? (I'd like to avoid removing the motor and tranny as a unit, if at
all possible). Thanks!
