The toilet paper oil filter was also a pretty standard retrofit on old
Chevy 235 cid sixes. My father had a '53 Bel Air with one of these. It
also had a cast-iron, 2-speed Powerglide automatic that weighed about
250 lbs (AMHIK). ;=( It was a gorgeous car, for a big blue blob, that
is, until a tree fell on it...
