164 clutch cable? I think not

  My 164 has a hydraulic clutch actuation. A mechanic at the dealership 
lubricated the "cable" for me once, so i suppose some of these cars may 
have cable clutches, but I think the mechanic didn't know what he was 
talking about, (he was a Jaguar specialist after all). The clutch line has 
a damper in it which sometimes causes problems. a failed MC will display 
symptoms similar to a broken cable but without the "pop" that a breaking 
cable will invariably make.
