Jon Finkelstein asks for new, cool ways to describe previously owned
cars.

How about "prepatinated," a word I just made up?  As in, a car in which
the lovely patina of a genuine classic has already been added? 
"Patina-enhanced" would be another way of expressing the same thing, in
a more readily intelligible (if perhaps less original) phrase.

Of course, the other day my wife was talking about wanting to have a
beauty shop do something about what she politely describes as the
growing number of "clear hairs" that have crept in amongst the dark
golden ones.

"Don't be silly," I said.  "You wouldn't want to remove all that lovely
original patina, would you?"

She gave me what could most charitably be described as the hairy
eyeball.
