3 Liter Valve Adjustment

Could somebody please advise as to
the correct cold valve clearances for
an '87 3.0 liter verde motor.  Are they
the same as a 2.5?  And does it make
any difference that the cams are of
the 164S variety.  I have recently =

started up a newly rebuilt motor by =

a very reputable builder (who has since
moved east) and have found all the valves
to be quite tight by normal specs. The
intakes are all about 15 thou and the =

exhaust are all at 4 to 5 thou.  The =

normal 2.5 specs are 19 to 20 intake
and 9 to 10 exhaust. Is the 3.0 different
and do the S cams require different =

settings.  All thoughts will be greatly
appreciated. I thought this thing was way =

too quiet!
